There are many local businesses that give discounts to all veterans.  Get in the habit of always asking “Do you give a veteran’s discount?”  Many do, restaurants, home improvement stores, automobile dealerships, etc.  On Veterans Day, many restaurants provide free meals for veterans and sometimes for their families.  
If you need to purchase flags or buy medals and ribbons, just google the topic.  There are many sources for these items.
